Windfall: Receive Inventory
The process of bringing in inventory is integral to using Windfall. This article will cover bringing inventory into the warehouse using the website.

Receiving Inventory on Windfall
Navigate to the customer, and click the ‘Inventory' tab. Hover your cursor over the ‘New’ button, then click 'New Inventory’.
Fill Out Inventory Information
On the ‘Item: New’ page, the following fields are required to save the inventory piece:
Inventory Number
Order Number (select)
Description
You can select an article from the drop down. You can also enter any prompts for the customer. Both of these are optional.
Click the Locations Tab
Once in the Locations tab, click the ‘Add Location’ button.
Choose a ‘Location' (type to search), then enter a ‘Quantity’. If the location is a rack, you will also need to choose a slot location. Click 'Save’ in the bottom left corner of the pop-up box to confirm.
You can now hit ‘Save' at the top of the 'Item: New’ page at any time to save the inventory piece, bringing it into Windfall. You can further edit the inventory by double clicking the tag number in the inventory grid.
Save/New button: will go back to the ‘Item: New’ page and allow you to keep bringing in inventory.
Save/Copy button: will go back to the ‘Item: New’ page and retain all entered information except 'Inventory Number' and 'Location'.
Add Conditions/Exceptions
This is optional, as not every piece will have damages. But should you need to notate exceptions, click the ‘Exceptions’ tab.
Click the ‘Plus Sign’ button in the Warehouse Exceptions box, and create exceptions by selecting the boxes next to the options provided. Check the box next to the new exception to add it to the inventory piece.
Add An Image
If there is an image of the inventory that you would like Windfall to capture, click on the ‘Images’ tab. To add he image, click the ‘Browse’ button, then select the file from your computer.
Adding Attachments
To add documents or other files to the inventory piece, click the ‘Attachments’ tab. Click the ‘Browse’ button, and select your file.
