Windfall: Set Customer to Inactive

Setting a customer to Inactive is a way to remove old business from Windfall. When you no longer need to see a customer you can inactivate it. This will remove the customer from view. It is different than deleting the customer, because it will keep all history that has been associated with the customer.

Close Open Work Orders

A customer cannot have any open work orders. Go to the work order tab, and make sure all work orders are set to closed. You should not see anything if the filter at the top of the page is set to 'Open'.

No Inventory

A Customer cannot have any inventory in the warehouse. Make sure nothing shows in the inventory tab for 'In Warehouse'.

No Active Orders

Next, check the orders. There should be no active orders, or a weight associated. If an order exists, double click on the order and pull up the details. Make sure to uncheck ‘Download’ and ‘Keep Active’.

If there is a value in the ‘Weight’ field, hit the ‘Edit Weight’ button.

Set the ‘Weight' to 0, and select the current date. Once you have done this, hit 'Save’ on the Weight pop-up.

Hit ‘Save’ on the Orders screen. The order should now be inactive.

Deactivate in Customer Details

The last step is to go to the ‘Detail’ tab for the customer. Make sure that ‘Keep Active’ and ‘Download to Device’ are unchecked, and hit 'Save' at the top of the page.

Once this final step has been completed, the customer will be inactivated.

Viewing Inactive Customers

To see your list of inactive customers, navigate to your main customer list by clicking the button on the left hand side of the screen. You will flip the filter at the top from ‘Active’ to ‘Inactive’ or 'All'.
